I’m Vanessa Pappa, a contemporary fiber artist based in Greece, creating sculptural textile works through weaving, knotting and the exploration of natural fibers.

My work is rooted in an ongoing curiosity about how fiber can shape space, evoke emotion and transform familiar materials into sculptural forms. Inspired by architecture, systems and organic structures, I use traditional textile techniques to create contemporary works that investigate transformation, balance and perception.

Growing up in Greece, I was surrounded by handmade traditions. My mother and grandmother introduced me to sewing, knitting and embroidery, while my father expressed his creativity through handcrafted objects, painting and creating. Those experiences shaped the way I see materials — not simply as tools, but as carriers of memory, structure and emotion.

Fiber became the language through which I could bring these influences together.
